Dog with separation anxiety

For some it’s the summum of all behavioural problems: your dog wakes the entire neighbourhood when you’re away from home. From their position it’s perfectly normal: dogs are family creatures and simply don’t understand why you would leave them without them. Being home alone is difficult for all dogs, but it’s easier to manage for one dog than it is for another.

We start to map the problem thoroughly during an intake consultation. We investigate whether or not there are underlying conditions that might be the trigger of the separation anxiety. In order to determine this we use a discrete camera to record the behaviour and the body language of the dog during your absence. Next, we design a treatment plan in order to at least reduce the problem, or even eliminate it entirely.
